Keep On Truckin' is Caustic Resin's sixth full length album since their incarnation over a decade ago. The album was recorded at Audio-Lab in Garden City, Idaho by Jon Mullin (Doug Martsch, The Suffocation Keep), with some additional recording done at The Space in Ballard, WA, and tracking & mixing at Hall of Justice in Seattle by Phil Ek (Built to Spill, Les Savy Fav, et al.) & Brett Netson. "Keep On Truckin'" was produced by Caustic Resin & Jim Roth, with Jim engineering. The band consists now of Netson (guitar and vocals), Mike Johnson (bass and guitar), and Pat Perkins (drums). Netson explains the difference between Keep On Truckin, and previous releases: "The last two were sort of experiments. This one is more grim, sort of outwardly vicious. Not as self-involved. Been living in LA off and on, there's different kinds of things that are in your face on a daily basis. A lot less space. A variety of dangers. The record kind of reflects that." Tom Romich and Jim Roth (Voodoo Gearshift, The Delusions) round out the artists involved, with Tom performing vocals on "8th St." and bass on other tracks, and Jim playing steel guitar on "Message to Shareholders" and "Viva La Causa!" with the former also featuring him on moog. The album was released February, 2003, and is available on CD only.
